Proud of my teenager
I have a tendency to think that I have 2 most amazing teenagers that a mama can have :) Saturday Levi showed me a different side of him that I really didn't know he had. Jake our nephew who is autistic wanted Pepsi and didn't want to eat his lunch. He was already frustrated to the point that he wanted to throw his pizza away and only wanted his Pepsi or "Coke as he called it". Levi sat down with him and told him if he would eat a big bite that he would give him a drink. He sat there coaxing him until he ate the entire piece :) I just couldn't believe that he had that kind of patience. It just amazes me that at 15 Levi had the drive to sit there with him and made me even more proud of him to see that he had just exactly what it took to get the kid to eat :) Once again another proud mama moment :) I'll never understand all the issues that goes along with Autism and I don't know that anyone will. I listen to a Christian radio station, the DJ has the exact same Austism that our nephew has and while he still says he still has some issues he's been able to lead a normal life. I think Autism is something that we all need to pray about and if you know anyone who has it say a special prayer for them!
