Autism ride

It was a cold & rainy day for the Autism ride but we went anyway & had a great time. Michael & I had on so many clothes that it looked like we were going to play in the snow instead of ride the bike LOL Michael was excited to win several things in the silent auction but we couldn't bring them home since we didn't have any room so a friend of mine took them home with her. We rode from Shelbyville, to Lynchburg, to Tullahoma, to Bell Buckle and then back to Shelbyville to eat lunch and see who won the prizes & auction items. It's certainly a ride that we will participate in again next year.

T-shirts that I made for us.
We had a picture of Jake laminated and put it on the bike.

There were only around 20 bikes because of the weather. Last year they had around 100 riders.

My frozen honey :)

This was our first stop in Lynchburg, yes we were really that cold, it was like in the 50's all day and the wind was horrible, the misty rain didn't help any either lol

Michael with his sister Michelle, Jake's mom.

Thrilled that they were taking pics as soon as we got there.

Gulf Shores Spring Break 2011

Michael decided 2 weeks before spring break that he wanted to take a trip to the beach. I was really excited since the boys had never been before. I contacted my friend who goes at least 3 times every year and she gave me some numbers for condos. I was surprised to find a condo in such a short notice. We all had a great time & decided that it would be a trip that we would do again but we would get a bigger condo and let the boys bring friends. We couldn't have asks for better weather, it was gorgeous the entire time we were there.

Their first time in the ocean

Toes in the sand & yes I had a pedicure before we left.

Triston loved getting covered up

Levi thought it was pretty cool too.

Going back to the condo to get ready for supper after a long day.
Michael & Triston loved riding the waves.

Levi wasn't feeling all that great so we built sand castles

Supper at LuLu's it was really good.

Michael & I about to freeze around midnight, the wind was so cold.

Car ride to the beach

Before we left I cut out all sorts of material because I knew I would have to keep myself busy in the car or I'd be asleep. Since I'm working on 2 quilts at the same time I was able to finish these 4 now they are ready for the squares.
And these will be flowers in my basket quilt that I'm really excited about doing more of but I'm on the hunt for some different fabric now.
