Motorbike Ride

We had a fabulous day! The weather was gorgeous & the company was wonderful. I got up at 5:00 am to get all my chores done this morning so I could ride and be somewhat guilt free :) We rode with some old friends and made some new ones.

Cindy didn't ride with us the entire day. We had been home maybe 20 minutes when Brian called and said Cindy wanted to ride so we got our stuff together and took back off. She's new to riding but it was a perfect afternoon/night. Something the four of us plan on doing again some day :)

Broken Dishes

Last Monday Triston came home from school and opened the cabinet and it literally came off the wall and broke just about all my dishes. Michael had been telling me for several months that it was going to come off the wall but I thought it wouldn't happen lol guess I was wrong. I'm so thankful that he didn't get hurt though. Larry came over & fixed it and brought it back on Wed night. I called my mama to tell her what happened & she immediately said that she had a set to give me. Lizzie & I went to her house Sat and got so many dishes that it took me 2 loads in the dishwasher to get them done. I'm so happy to have family that's close by and is always willing to help out. I'm so not sure why she thought I needed new silverware but I'm sure we'll use it :)

Felt Food

I made some felt food for a donation and had someone tell me that if they didnt' win the basket they wanted me to make them some, well they didn't win and so she's given me several orders. I've already made her a breakfast set, cupcakes & cookies and how she's ask for pies & pizzas. I'm terrible about patterns because I make my own and unfortunately I'm not organized to keep my patterns in a safe place so I'm constantly making new patterns LOL  She requested 6 slices of pie & I decided to go ahead & make 8 so she will have something to chose from. Hopefully the pizzas will get done this week :)

Casey's Graduation

I'm so glad that we are friends with this sweet family! We certainly are enjoying watching these little girls grow up and talking all southern unlike their mom & dad :) Casey's K graduation was so cute and it seems like yesterday that our boys were graduating K.

I have several pics of this child & her many faces but for some reason she wouldn't smile until it was over :)

So glad that I took off work to be there and enjoy that special day with her :) She's such a sweetheart!

Chase & Kyndall's wedding shower

We had a great time meeting Kyndall's side of the family, everyone was so nice and her aunt's house was gorgeous! They got lots of really nice gifts and cash.

Wedding Shower Gifts

Chase & Kyndall got married in Dec but with it being near the holidays the shower was put off until this weekend. Kyndall's aunt is having it in Pulaski so I decided to get them a practical gift. These were fun to put together and while they appear to be just towels there is a little surprise inside :)

I used 2 bath towels, 3 hand towels & 4 wash cloths to make this towel cake. Inside I tucked in shampoo, toothpaste, soap, deodorant for him & her. I initally was going to put the hand soap in this one but once I started putting it all together I decided to put it with the kitchen towel cake.

Not sure why this pic makes it look crooked because in the next pic you can see that it isn't.

Used a washcloth to cover up the top of the deodorants & soaps.

Added the flowers and then placed it in a clear bag so that one is complete.

The kitchen one isn't as big but still enjoyed making it in. I hot glued the soaps to the cardboard so they would stay in place. I used 5 dish towels and 5 dish rags to make this one.

Put this in a clear bag and I'm completely finished with both gifts for around 40.00.

Mother's Day

I have to say while we had a very busy weekend it was filled with lots of family time and we enjoyed seeing everyone. I'm so thankful to be living so close to all our family & have a wonderful relationship with them all. Sat night I cooked for my mama & Michael's step mom, Sun we went to church, to my grandmother's & back home to cook for Michael's mom. It was a very busy weekend but honestly I wouldn't have it any other way :)

Nikki & Lizzie - I have very blessed to have such a wonderful relationship with Nikki :) I love the fact that we talk so many times during the week and the amount of time that she allows us to spend with Lizzie bug. I pray that she always knows that I am here for her no matter what the circumstances are and that our relationship will be a close & loving one :)

Felt Food

Sorry the pics aren't better but I forgot to take them at home so I used the camera that was here at work. These have gone postal and hopefully put a smile a little girl's face :)

The breakfast set includes 4 pancakes, 2 pop tarts, 2 sunny side up eggs, 2 pieces of bacon & 5 strawberries.

This set included 4 sugar cookies with sprinkles made from french knots so no need to worry about a choking hazard & 7 cupcakes.
