Customer Service

In Jan I ordered a set of these Quilting rulers from Joann's, when the order came in there were 3 sets in the box instead of one set. They had only invoiced me for one set and only one set was showing shipped on the packing list. I tried to call their customer service but kept getting a voice mail so I decided to send them an email, about a week later I got an email saying "thanks" we will put some coupons in the mail. They sent me a postage paid label so I returned the 2 sets. I was excited to get 2 sets of 50% off & 2 sets of 40% off coupons that don't expire until 2013. Monday when I check our mailbox I was even more excited when they sent me a $15 gift card :) I was too excited and had a great story to tell our boys about honesty. I didn't expect anything more than the coupons but it just goes to show that being honest always pays off :)

Burp Cloths

I was so excited when I was ask to make some burp cloths for a baby shower. I explained to Angie that I had never made any but she wasn't too concerned. She immediately said I know you can do something for me :) She bought the diapers and gave me free will to do whatever I wished. I went through the girly shash of material & ribbons and below is the end results. Angie was excited to get them :)

St Patrick's Day wreath

Actually had this tuelle that I bought from a garage sale, the box was filled with all sorts of colors that have come in handy lately. I'm guessing the entire wreath costs me less than $3 to make since I had everything here except for the plumbing insulation, we got it last night at Lowe's for $1 and I cut it in half to make this wreath.

The ugly gold material was in a box that was also bought at a garage sale but it was in the bottom but I thought since I was covering the "wreath" (plumbing insulation) it didn't matter if the material looked good or not so I cut a strip and started wrapping it around the insulation.

Before I added any of the embellishments

I used the cricut to cut out the felt shamrocks & then I added glitter to one and then traced some with various colors of glitter glue. The hats were just pieces of felt that I cut free hand & added a touch of sequins to the bottom to give it a little color.

Levi is not a fan of my wreath but I kind of like it since I've never made one before :)

Levi's new toy

Levi came home from church one night saying he wanted a mandolin well the next day he found one on Craigslist. Michael was working so he took his friend Keith with him to Franklin to meet up with the guy. When they got there they found out it had never been taken out of the box, this guy had bought it for some girl and he never gave it to her. He was so happy when they got home because he got a great deal on it.

Casey's program

Casey's had a great time at her program and she's such a little goofball but goodness we love her and are so happy to watch her growing up :)

Projects

I made one of these for a donation & loved it so much that I wanted one for our house. It seems everything I make gets donated, always for good causes though :) I found this heart shaped grapevine wreath at Good Will last year but never did anything with it. The tuelle came from a garage sale last fall so I gave hardly nothing for it. It took all afternoon because the wreath was so big but I kind of like it :)

Mike ask me to make this for him for someone at his church. I always enjoy making them and it doesn't take nearly as much time to make as it looks.
