I was able to make a few more bracelets last night for Craft Hope, these are super easy & doesn't take long to make them at all, excited to see how many I can get done before the deadline.

Assorted projects
These are the items I was able to make last week, of course, they are donations. There is a slight "purple" theme going on but that's because it was my daddy's favorite color so there's more purple in my life now than there ever has been.
These will be going to Craft Hope, I'm going to try to get lots more done but these I was able to do last night.
More hats for NICU
I just wanted to make this because I thought it was super cute, I will probably put it in the Vandy tote.
Here's the pattern for the headband with bow.

BOM 2016
I signed up for the QOM 2016, on Craftsy.com using some leftover materials & then I bought some others. I'm in love with all these colors & I can't wait to see how it all turns out. I've never done a pattern like this one before but I certainly enjoyed working on it yesterday. I should be able to complete the quilt in June since that's what the directions are saying so we'll see how it goes.

Pillow cases for Vandy
I was so happy to be in my craft room Sat so I decided to use the remnant fabrics that I've been buying to make some pillow cases for Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. I'm trying to start making things a little earlier this year so I'm not trying to do so much toward the end of the year. I've notice several things that I'd like to accomplish from their Pinterest site so I'm hoping since it's still the first of the year I will be able to complete a few more things.
This Rolled Pillow Case Pattern is the pattern that I've used & it's super easy. I sat & cut, rolled & pinned all 6 then I went back & sew them all together. It really doesn't take long at all to make them. I'm going to continue trying to find remnant pieces of character fabric to make more. The lady that I spoke with when I made my donation in Dec said pillow cases are one of their favorite things to receive.

I really like the colors & how the snowman one turned out.
I don't like Star Wars but I figured there would be some little boys that would love seeing these.

Meet Ruby
We have needed a decent vehicle for a few years now but we have continued putting it off for various reasons. The Expedition I've been driving hasn't had heat for a couple of years now so Michael decided it was time for a change.
I didn't want an SUV because the style of all the newer ones reminds me of a minivan & I'm just not about to drive something that appears to look like a minivan.
We've been looking for several months but found the best deal with the fewest miles on this little gem. I can say driving a car is much different than driving a truck or SUV which is what I've driven for the last 17 years but I'm liking my little Ruby and getting used to being in a car again.

Great start to crafting in 2016
I decided that I wanted to continue with my donations for 2016, hoping to get even more things completed this year than last year, some will be handmade while others will be bought. I would like to get at least 30 crocheted hats done each month. Some will be for Vanderbilt while the others will be donated to High Risk Hope in Tampa, FL http://www.highriskhope.org I was able to donate 70 hats to them last year, I'm not sure how many went to Vanderbilt because I failed to count those.
I would love to surpass the 70 that went to Tampa so it appears I'm off to a good start since I've gotten 27 completed so far.
All of these things I do in memory of my daddy who loved children of all ages but had a huge heart for the sick ones, especially after going through everything that he did with cancer. His prayers always including praying for the sick little children.
